Taking a Seat at the Table: NAHB Features Nora for PWB Week
Our Founder and CEO, Nora El-Khouri Spencer was featured in the National Association of Home Builders’ latest article, “Taking a Seat at the Table,” for her dedication to advancing the construction industry.
Representing Hope as a recipient of the PWB Leadership Grant, Spencer headed to the nation’s capital to collaborate with industry leaders on workforce development and long-term industry growth. At this year’s NAHB spring meeting, Spencer reconnected with the heart of advocacy. Years into her advocacy work, Nora knows how overwhelming it can feel for someone just starting out.
"I think advocacy is one of the most important things we can do as women in this industry if we want to shift the gender dynamic," she said. It can help create visibility and opportunities for those just starting out.
